Van Horn Construction collaborates with the architectural design team and engineers to understand the client’s needs and vision for the current project, as well as future growth. This design-build partnership aids in translating the vision into a conceptual design.

Once the client’s requirements and budget are established, the ideal building site is located. Since the structure’s placement on the site is determined by such factors as ordinances and zoning, septic issues, sun direction, trees and views, VHC prefers to be involved throughout the conceptual process, starting with the floor plans to exterior elevations. We offer assistance in all design aspects no matter how small, including but not limited to building materials, structure, heating and air, plumbing and electrical.

When a client is satisfied with the design, we can create CAD drawings and specifications, and assist by submitting a competitive bid including value engineering, resulting in maximum savings.
