JOB SUMMARY

Van Horn Construction Assistant Project Managers work with Project Managers and Construction Teams to organize and manage assigned project scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk. They provide a commitment to projects through focus, communication, and efficiency. Assistant Project Managers are expected to adhere to company policies and values and maintain ethical standards with integrity and service.

REQUIRED DUTIES

  • Project estimating
  • Project management
  • Continuous cost/constructability input
  • Project scheduling and phasing plan
  • Coordination of project teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows Operating System
  • Experience using Sage Timberline and/or other estimating software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Temporary relocation or travel may be required
  • Must be able to operate power tools and equipment, camera, computer equipment, and cell phone
  • Must be able to operate motor vehicle
