JOB SUMMARY
Construction Superintendents are responsible for jobsite planning and coordination of Van Horn Construction employee and subcontractor tasks and schedules. Superintendents are expected to adhere to corporate policies and values and maintain ethical standards, emphasizing integrity and service. Typical responsibilities include:
- Full-time, day-to-day supervision and coordination of onsite activities
- Oversee scheduling by conducting weekly subcontractor meetings and future planning sessions
- Facilitate inspections verifying workmanship
- Supervise and enforce project safety plan
- Act as Project Liaison for Owner, Design Team, and Project Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of Commercial Construction Supervisory Experience
- Professionals with Additional Experience Encouraged to Apply
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Jobsite Meeting Administration
- Schedule Management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Work in extreme weather may be required
- Temporary relocation or travel may be required
